4 Smart Workflow Types to Jumpstart Your Copyright Data Cleanup
Managing copyright data can quickly become messy—especially after migration processes where entries are often merged or combined, sometimes unintentionally. While technically allowed, this can severely limit system functionality.
To help you restore clarity and structure to your data, we're introducing four powerful workflow types designed to clean up and reorganize your copyrights—efficiently and at scale.
The Four Workflow Types
-
Split Copyrights and Replace by Entry
Break down combined copyrights and replace each one with a specific entry. -
Split Copyrights and Replace by Search Term
Identify and split copyrights using search terms, then replace them accordingly. -
Replace Copyrights with Entries
Swap existing copyright entries with precise replacements. -
Replace Copyrights with Entries by Search Term
Use search terms to find and replace copyrights with matching entries.
These workflows are your starting point for building a more structured, functional, and scalable copyright system.
1. Split Copyrights and Replace by Entry
Using AI, copyright entries are intelligently split into meaningful units.
Each unit is created as a separate entry in the system and automatically linked to the previously associated files.
Once the new entries are in place, you also have the option to automatically remove the original, now-obsolete copyright entry.
2. Split Copyrights and Replace by Search Term
When dealing with a large number of copyright entries, manual selection can become impractical.
That's why this workflow allows you to use a search term instead.
The interface provides a preview of all matching entries and shows the total number affected.
Aside from that, the workflow functions just like the entry-based version—splitting entries and linking them to the appropriate files automatically.
3. Replace Copyrights with Entries
If you already know exactly which entries need to be replaced, there's no need to create new ones automatically.
This workflow allows you to directly replace existing copyrights with the correct entries—quickly and efficiently.
4. Replace Copyrights with Entries by Search Term
When you're working at scale, you can use a search term to identify the entries you want to replace.
The interface highlights all matches and lets you apply the replacement in bulk—no manual selection needed.
At their core, both workflows do the same thing:
Find what you need, and replace it with exactly what you want.
