Licenses
Find out what kind of license mangement is available.
Licenses and Asset Availability
Licenses are a way to control whether certain assets are publicly available or restricted. They help manage usage rights and ensure that images are only accessible according to predefined conditions.
Currently, we support two types of licenses:
- Standard License
- Period License
Standard License
A Standard License allows an image to be used within a specific time frame. You define a fixed start and end date, and during this period, the image is available for use. Once the time frame expires, the image is no longer accessible under this license.
This type of license is ideal for cases where you need precise control over the availability of an asset for a defined period, such as a marketing campaign or event.
Period License
A Period License determines how long an image can be used starting from a specific point in time. Instead of setting a fixed range, you define a duration (e.g., days, weeks, or months). The usage period begins from the moment the image is uploaded or assigned the license.
For example, a 90-day Period License means that the image can be used for 90 days after its upload date. After the period expires, access to the image is restricted.
This type of license is useful when you want a rolling availability window, such as for temporary content distribution or time-sensitive media usage.
By using these licensing options, you can effectively manage asset accessibility and ensure compliance with usage policies.
